Thermatek® ramp and threshold heating systems are designed with versatility and durability in mind. The ultra-low voltage heating elements are made using heavy-gauge stainless steel wire and can be precisely shaped to suit any ramp or threshold size. The elements are installed in shallow cut-outs or rebates within the ramp or threshold and are covered with either a screed or a steel plate for mechanical protection.

Each system is fully customized to the installation’s unique requirements, with heating elements and thermatek transfomer rating tailored to the specific size, temperature, and environmental conditions of the ramp or threshold.

Thermatek® designs, draws and supplies the system as a pre-sized grid of robust heating wire, cut to the exact dimensions required. Cold tails are pre-attached in lengths specified by the customer to streamline the installation process. The transformers are housed in durable Thermatek® transformer enclosures, selected based on the system’s size and power needs.
